We are facing more and heavier rainfalls. The sewage system can often not hold these amounts of water, there’s a risk of flooding. Most cities make use of a traditional stormwater capture tanks. These tanks, however, can take up large amounts of space.

The roof profiles are built up by (from top to bottom) vegetation, engineered soil media, a needled mineral wool water retention layer, an optional honeycomb detention reservoir and a detention layer. Alongside multiple large cities in the USA, NYC has approved our Purple Roof concept as a stormwater management tool!
